The program is designed to fully prepare students to pass the Tennessee State Class A CDL test, covering everything needed - proper education, hands-on skills training, and real over-the-road experience. From classroom instruction to time behind the wheel, United Truck Driving School is committed to setting every student up for a successful career as a professional truck driver.

Every instructor at United Truck Driving School brings a minimum of 8 years of professional truck driving experience to the classroom. Beyond teaching the rules of the road, instructors share real-world advice, personal driving experiences, and industry insight - giving students a genuine understanding of what a career in trucking looks like from the inside.

Class A CDL Training

CDL program built to get students licensed and on the road.

United Truck Driving School's CDL training is thorough, straightforward, and built around student success. From the first day in the classroom to the final road test, students receive the education, hands-on experience, and real-world skills needed to become confident, qualified truck drivers.

Training begins with in-class lectures and videos to prepare for the written CDL permit test, then moves into behind-the-wheel training in preparation for the CDL Skills and Driving test - taken right on-site at the Murfreesboro, TN facility.

Students learn both the technical and operational sides of driving a semi-truck, including:

  • Maintaining driver logs
  • Reading maps and planning trips
  • Performing pre-trip safety inspections
  • Shifting techniques and turning maneuvers
  • Safely backing up a vehicle

Weekly classes begin every Monday, with weekend classes also available, running 7:00 am to 5:00 pm — giving students flexible options to fit their schedule.

Class B CDL Training

Class B CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement

United Truck Driving School now offers a Class B CDL program with a Passenger (P) Endorsement, opening the door to expanded career opportunities across the transportation industry. Students in this program learn to maneuver tour and passenger buses, training on a 47-passenger motor coach.

Just like the Class A program, students enrolled in the Class B CDL with P Endorsement have access to:

  • Job placement assistance
  • Financing opportunities
  • Hands-on driving experience
  • Quality curriculum
  • On-site, third-party testing

The program consists of 153 hours of training, running Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
