School Highlights
Lorac Academy trains new drivers for careers behind the wheel, with campuses in Greensboro and Durham, North Carolina. The school prepares students for both Class A and Class B commercial licenses, and also runs programs in truck dispatching plus a catalog of online continuing education courses, including ELDT.
Instruction comes from a team that has spent real time in the industry, not just the classroom. Coursework pairs range practice with actual road time, and most students finish the program in a handful of weeks. Housing and meals are included during enrollment, which removes a common obstacle for people relocating or leaving another job to retrain.
Support continues past graduation. Lorac connects students with carriers through its placement program, walks applicants through tuition assistance options, and offers a no-cost career consultation to anyone weighing the switch. Drivers who trained elsewhere can also schedule skills testing on site.
The academy draws students from across the Piedmont and Triangle, including Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Burlington, Chapel Hill, Cary, High Point, Asheboro, and nearby towns.
