Florida Technical College

School Highlights

Florida Technical College was established in 1982 to offer post-secondary education in specialized business fields. The main campus in Orlando opened that same year, followed by the Lakeland campus in 1990 and the DeLand campus in 1997. Additional campuses were launched in Kissimmee, Pembroke Pines, and Tampa in 2011, with the South Miami campus opening in 2015.

After four decades of serving Florida’s educational needs, Florida Technical College has officially merged with NUC University, its former sister institution. NUC University has also expanded its reach by incorporating three additional institutions: the Digital Animation & Visual Effects (DAVE) School, Hillsboro Aero Academy (HAA) in Florida, and the IBC Technical Division in Puerto Rico. Collectively, these institutions now operate 15 campuses and serve over 25,000 students across Florida and Puerto Rico.

Below are the programs offered at Florida Technical College’s campuses (not all programs are offered at all locations):

  • Beauty
  • Business
  • Construction Trades
