Physical & Occupational Therapy Highlights
Occupational therapy assistant programs provide training in helping patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. These programs cover subjects like anatomy, therapeutic techniques, mental health, and patient care. Students gain hands-on experience through clinical fieldwork, preparing them for career paths as occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) or physical therapy assistants (PTAs) in settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and nursing homes. OTAs and PTAs work under the supervision of licensed physical and occupational therapists.
